Casing is the wrapping of an object or a furniture piece in animal hide. This is where materials and shapes marry to best render the use and aesthetics of an object. The skins are pulled taut hugging the contours of the object emphasizing the careful thought behind its shape. Casing is a rigorous art that requires years of experience, care, and accuracy. We work on designs of various sizes, from tables to jewellery boxes, to parchment lamps. Each realization uniquely curated. We are partial to and specialise in working with parchment and shagreen.
