cabinetmaking
The French word ébénisterie, or cabinetmaking, comes from the french word ébène, meaning ebony. The first ebony veneer was made for the French queen Catherine de Medici. The process a clever solution to the cracks that appear in solid wood when it dries. With the arrival of more and more exotic wood species in France, this new craft took off. Our cabinetmakers master this ancestral art of furniture construction.
Woodworking is the heart of our expertise. We are cabinetmakers. We carefully analyze each plank before its is carved; it is chosen for its quality, its species, and its properties. By hand or machine their tools are precise and their gestures meticulous. We have the ability to produce unique pieces or small series or according to the needs of the project.
