alabaster

Alabaster, like marble, is a metamorphosed limestone. Its color and transparency are a naturally occuring result of its deposit conditions. Our stones are extracted from the same deposit Ruhlmann used in the 1920s in the Paris region. We choose the most beautiful stones, then work the surface by removing material, treating, and then polishing by hand to finish.

Tarnished by heat, the sustained use of alabaster in lighting elements is made possible with LED light sources. The techniques we have developed produce a variety of lighting elements, such as illuminated lettering and logos, allowing us to engrave our customers’ identities into the stone.
